About MyFlareSA

MyFlareSA hosts a growing family of Companion apps for South Africans living with a chronic condition, or caring for someone who does. Each app helps track day-to-day health, understand a condition in plain language, and prepare for specialist appointments, without ever replacing the care of a treating doctor. Some apps are free for life; others pair a free tier with an optional paid toolkit. See the current list of Companion apps on the homepage — deployed and in testing.

Who provides MyFlareSA

MyFlareSA and its Companion apps are provided by MS Nova Meditech (Pty) Ltd t/a Vaxtrack SA, in co-operation with Skills Academy.

Why these apps exist

A diagnosis — or the wait for one — brings complex terminology, decisions made under pressure, and an internet full of conflicting information. MyFlareSA's apps aim to be a clear, honest map through that: structured tracking instead of vague memory, plain-language explanations instead of jargon, and a disinformation shield against remedies that specifically target frightened patients.

What we will never do

No Companion app diagnoses a condition, recommends a specific treatment, or replaces a consultation with a doctor. Every app is built around that boundary from the ground up — see our medical disclaimer for the full detail.

The Companions

Each Companion app is built for one condition group or caregiving role, with its own plain-language guidance and structured tracking tools. Some are fully deployed and free to use; others are currently being tested with real users before a wider release. The homepage always reflects the current list and each app's status, and our For Doctors page has the full clinical detail on each one.
