Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of MyFlareSA and every app in its Companion family, whether fully deployed or currently in testing. By using any Companion app, you agree to them.

These terms are written to apply across the whole Companion app family, including apps added after this page was last updated. They describe the rules every Companion app follows, rather than naming each app individually. See the homepage for the current list of apps and their status.

Pricing — free and paid tiers

Some Companion apps are provided entirely free of charge by MS Nova Meditech (Pty) Ltd t/a Vaxtrack SA, with no subscription, no advertising, and no charge of any kind. Others may offer a free core tier alongside an optional paid tier for additional features, billed via our payment services provider (for example, Netcash). Where a paid tier exists, you can cancel at any time from within the app; access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. Apps in testing

Some Companion apps are made available for testing and feedback ahead of public release. These are provided as-is: content, features, and availability may change at any time. Every other term on this page, including "Not medical advice" below, applies fully to apps in testing.

Not medical advice

Nothing in any Companion app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Every app is a tool for tracking, information, and appointment preparation only. Full detail is set out in our medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

Your data stays with you

Health data you log in any Companion app — symptoms, flares, medications, appointments, vitals, safety plans, personal notes, and vault documents — is stored on your own device and is never stored on our servers. Where an app includes an AI-assisted feature, the text you submit passes through to the AI engine to generate a response and is not retained afterward. Where an app has an account, your account information (email address and password, or sign-in provider linkage) is held securely. See our privacy policy for full detail.

Your account

Where a Companion app has an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may request deletion of your account at any time from within that app.

Acceptable use

Use every Companion app only for lawful, personal health-tracking or caregiving purposes.
Do not attempt to access another person's account or data.
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from any Companion app or its AI-assisted features.
Do not misrepresent outputs from any Companion app as clinical or diagnostic results.

Intellectual property

All content, design, and code across MyFlareSA and its Companion apps is the property of MS Nova Meditech (Pty) Ltd t/a Vaxtrack SA and its licensors. Nothing in these apps may be reproduced or redistributed without written permission.

No warranty

Every Companion app is provided as-is, for informational purposes only. While we take care to keep content accurate and up to date, we make no warranty that the information is complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use each app at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, MS Nova Meditech (Pty) Ltd t/a Vaxtrack SA is not liable for any loss or harm arising from reliance on information provided by any Companion app, or from any interruption, error, or unavailability of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, including as new Companion apps join the family. Material changes will be noted on this page with a revised date.
